Uniview combines 4K Fisheye and NVR Solution

With high-end NVR302, NVR304 and NVR308 series, Uniview can watch live view and record a 360° panoramic fisheye picture with PTZ possibility. There also is a video available on “How to configure a fisheye in NVR” for customers and users.

Uniview mini IR Bullet with eMMC Storage
The latest released model is a 4MP Mini IR Bullet with eMMC on-board edge storage. To balance water-proof performance and edge storage requirement, eMMC on-board is a better solution for a fixed lens bullet.

Uniview is dedicated to producing innovative products. Instead of a SD card slot, the camera applies 16GB eMMC chipset on board for edge storage, which is more reliable than SC card. It is inspired from mobile equipment. eMMC now is widely used in smart phones and pad, 3 times faster in reading and 2 times faster in writing, and even 20 times longer life than SD card. These advantages are due to the controller inside of eMMC for bad-cell detection and recovery.

Uniview deep video compression technology: U-Code
U-code is an enhanced encoding technology released by Uniview which can help to reduce up to approximately 80-95 percent bandwidth compared with common encoding algorism while keeping the details clearly.

Advanced Storage Saving Technology
Unlike conventional video compression technologies which try to reduce storage cost by sacrificing resolution and frame rate indiscriminately, U-Code chooses to use “IRP” (Intelligent Region Perception) to detect motion in each frame so that scenes containing interesting information could be preserved while the other relatively static area such as lawns, white walls could be squeezed to save storage.

In order to reduce bandwidth, U-Code will stretch GOP (Group Of Pictures). And meanwhile, having V.I (virtual I frame) to ensure that media has key frame that contrains information so that the NCR can run the Frame Accurate Search and Quick Playback. We call it EF tech, equals to “Enhanced Frame”.

Let’s take a 4MP IPC as an example. Normally bit rate is 6Mbps, and it may roughly store 63G a day. But in U-code mode, the bit rate can be reduced up to 0.3Mbps, and it only stores 3G a day.
